Onbikes is creating opportunities to deliver joy to local kids and families who would otherwise not have the chance enjoy the simple pleasure of riding a bike to remain healthy and active.

Ways to help.

At the heart of onbikes’ mission is the commitment to  provide deserving children with high-quality bikes that empower them. This noble endeavor is made possible through partnerships with exceptional companies and individuals who share our vision of creating a positive change in the world. Together, we can make a lasting impact and bring about meaningful transformation in the lives of those we serve.

This year, the Winter Wonder Ride is back, brighter and than ever with our “Let it Glow” theme! Lighting up the night with neon vibes and retro feels, we’re pedaling back into the 80s & 90s.

LOCASH is revving up for an encore, ensuring another unforgettable night of tunes and festivities. If you thought last year’s Ho Ho Hoedown with special appearances was epic, brace yourself for a neon-lit ride that promises even more wonder and surprise! Don’t miss out on this luminous winter adventure.

Community builds and rides.

Onbikes has created opportunities to help bring bikes to your community. With over 10,700 bicycles delivered to those in need, we’ve developed an approach that works. In collaboration with our community partners, sponsors, and donors, we pave new paths and unlock new possibilities by facilitating corporate and community bike builds; and organizing large-scale community bike rides like our flagship event, the Winter Wonder Ride.

Do you want to bring an Onbikes build or ride event to your company or community? Our goal is to scale, and we are happy to go beyond the Tampa Bay area and into cities around the U.S. If you’re interested in partnering to bring a program that is hosted by Julius Tobin, onbikes co-founder, to your town, please reach out to info@onbikes.org

Corporate Bike Builds.

Onbikes partners with companies, organizations, and event planners across the nation to put as many bikes into the hands of at-risk and foster kids as possible. We’ve created a unique model that allows our partners to host an unforgettable team-building event while delivering a tangible product back into the community.

Our partners can donate the bikes to an organization of their choosing, or Onbikes can help facilitate the donation through our network of partners.

Here’s how it works:

Select a date, time, location, and the number of participants for your bike build.

Employees gather and form assembly lines to build the pre-determined amount of bikes.

Deliver the bikes.

Participating in the onbikes corporate Bike Build gave our company an opportunity to execute a team building activity to build relationships across our organization in multiple locations all at the same time! With the guidance of the onbikes team, our locations built a total of 400 bikes that were donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Beaver County in Cranberry, PA and Madison Middle School in Tampa, FL. We were able to come together as a team to give back to our local communities, network with colleagues, and have a lot of fun in the process!

Sponsor a Bike Share Program.

Community bike share programs have become immensely popular around the world. However, they remain mostly inaccessible to those who need them the most.

Onbikes aims to bridge that gap and create access to bicycles regardless of socioeconomic status by providing bike share programs to nonprofit organizations that aid the most underserved members of communities across the U.S.

Here’s how it works:

With the help of our generous sponsors, Onbikes delivers self-sustaining bike share programs to local non-profit organizations that seek to provide those they serve with access to bicycles. Participating organizations have included Metropolitan Ministries, Starting Right, Now, and Boys and Girls Clubs.

Bike shares can provide reliable transportation to work or school, or simply give children the joy and freedom that comes with riding a bike. This program encourages responsibility, the importance of bike safety, and supplies the tools and training necessary to keep their fleets self-sustainable.

A bike share program comes with:

        • A fleet of new bicycles
        • Lights, locks, and helmets
        • Bike safety manuals
        • Digital sign-in & sign-out forms
        • Maintenance training
        • Tool kits for basic repairs
        • Bike racks
        • Tire pump station

Make your name one the community won’t forget.

Bike Share Partners receive branding opportunities on the above-mentioned components, along with recognition on the Onbikes website and social media platforms. Partners also receive inclusion in the delivery and installation of the bike share fleet.

The onbikes Bike Share program helps all of our families that need to get to work, to school, to internships. We are able to give them the resources and dignity to be able to get to where they need to be.

Mobile Bike Shop.

Youth and families in low-income neighborhoods do not have easy access to low or no-cost bike repair services. Because of this, bikes often go unused due to simple and quick low-cost repair issues like a flat tire or simple brake adjustments. We aim to solve this problem by expanding our pop-up repair shop that sets up at events and services our Bike Share sites and establishing a perpetual Mobile Bike Shop.

Community Partners.

What inspires you to make a difference? From golf tournaments to cookie sales , small events to epic feats, we encourage our supporters to use their creativity, talents, and interests to raise funds so at-risk kids receive their first bike .

“We are so honored to have benefited onbikes at our 5th Annual Agile Group Charity Golf Tournament. We are beyond excited to announce we raised over $20,000 to donate to this amazing organization, which provides at-risk children with bikes & helmets. So thankful for all of our sponsors, golfers and the volunteers that make this event happen every year! Thank you!”

-Matthew Brookens, Agile Group

“This donation is from a high school Girl Scout Troop who just graduated. They earned money from selling cookies and wanted to help underprivileged children experience the joy of riding a bike.”

-Girl Scouts of West Central Florida, Riverview, Tampa

For the students at Starting Right, Now, bikes equate to freedom – freedom to get to work; to visit friends; to exercise to help their mental health. Trapped for so many years in the confines of an abusive situation, the bike equates to more than just two wheels for transportation. It is their way to finally feel free of chains. onbikes allows our kids to regain their freedom of choice.
